As you know, Encanterra is located in an unincorporated area of Pinal County, which means our services are not provided by a city. Rural/Metro Fire Department will serve Encanterra in the case of an accident, medical emergency, or fire emergency. Normally, the fees associated with a city fire department are funded through taxes levied by the city. Since we are not located within the boundaries of a city, fire services are not charged or covered by Pinal County Property Taxes.

Rural/Metro Fire Department is funded one of two ways. The first is through a bill levied to the individuals benefitting from the emergency response services of Rural/Metro Fire Department. In the case of an emergency, Rural/Metro Fire Department will be dispatched and will properly address the emergency. The costs associated with the emergency services will be charged at a minimum rate of $1,000 with an hourly rate of $1,000 for fire fighting services and an hourly rate of $525 for Emergency Medical Services. This method is great if you never need the services of Rural/Metro Fire Department. However, in the event you do need their services, this option is very expensive.

The second option is most similar to an insurance policy. Rural/Metro Fire Department has created an annual Fire Service Account. The fee structure is based on the under roof square footage of your home. The fees start at an Annual Rate of $248 for 1400 square feet and continue up to a rate per square foot of $.187 a square foot. There is a registration fee of $35. Most of our Members found this to be an affordable alternative that provided “just in case” peace of mind. I have enclosed a copy of the Schedule of Service Charges and a brochure on Rural/Metro Fire Department.

If you have already executed your Rural/Metro Fire Department Service Account, please disregard this reminder and notification. If you are closing on your new home soon and have not setup your Rural/Metro Fire Department Account, then now might be a great time.
