As families all around gather to celebrate the holidays, Phoenicians often find themselves to be the family’s most popular members, with visitors flocking from afar to escape the harsh winters of distant lands. Luckily for us, the season is jam-packed with holiday entertainment fit for the whole bunch. Find your favorites on this list of Free Family Thanksgiving Events from AXS.

The J.O. Combs Holiday Adopt-a-Family program is a now underway. The families range in size to include from one to five children. We are asking that an inexpensive set of clothing and two small gifts be purchased for each child. If you like, you can partner up with a neighbor, friend, or small group to adopt one of the families. Please join us in helping to bring a little holiday joy to a local San Tan Valley family in need, some of whom have suffered a tragedy or loss this past year. Thank you in advance for your wonderful generosity.

The 39th Annual Gilbert Days Celebration features a parade, marathon & rodeo to honor the heritage of the Town of Gilbert. Many local schools, businesses, and organizations will participate in this year’s #GilbertKindness parade theme; participants are encouraged to decorate their floats to exhibit how they support kindness in the community. Head out to the Arizona Harvest Fest to support local vendors and get a head start on your holiday shopping! This open-air market will feature 100 local merchants selling produce, artisan jewelry, clothing, health and wellness products, and much more!
