Queen Creek Az – Increasing Investments in Infrastructure

Widening Ocotillo Road: Ocotillo Road, a vital east-west artery running through the heart of Queen Creek, is set to undergo a major transformation. The project includes widening Ocotillo Road from Hawes to Sossaman roads, expanding it to two lanes in each direction, complete with a center turn lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks. Additionally, drainage improvements, utility modifications, streetlights, and traffic signal installations will be incorporated. These enhancements will not only improve traffic flow but also prioritize the safety and convenience of pedestrians and cyclists. The widening project is expected to be completed in late 2024. 

Other Roadway Projects in Progress: The Ocotillo Road widening project is just one of many infrastructure initiatives taking place in Queen Creek. The town’s commitment to improving its transportation system is evident from the numerous projects currently under construction or in the design phase. Some notable projects include Meridian and Queen Creek intersection improvements, Meridian from Cherrywood to Combs, Downtown Core Connectors, Signal Butte from Appleby to Queen Creek, and more. 

Past Accomplishments: Over the past years, Queen Creek has made significant strides in its infrastructure improvement plan. Major roadway enhancements have been successfully completed, including Rittenhouse from Sossaman to Queen Creek Marketplace, Sossaman and Chandler Heights intersection improvements, Ocotillo from Power to Recker, and many others. These completed projects reflect the town’s dedication to fulfilling its long-term infrastructure goals and creating a safer and more accessible community for all.
