Meet Ed and Kathy on Laddoos Ave in Trilogy® at Encanterra®

Ed and Kathy have come full circle with their Encanterra® journey. They originally built a new St. Tropez plan back in 2013, which was the perfect size since this was going to be their second home. The Arizona lifestyle allowed them to escape the cold Pennsylvania winters and spend more time with their family, who live in the area. A few years passed and they realized they needed more space but they wanted to stay within Encanterra®. Last month Shea Preferred Realty assisted them with selling their St. Tropez plan and helped them find the perfect resale Genova plan just around the corner from their first home.

Their love story started when Ed returned home from Germany after serving in the Army for two years. Ed was asked to stand in as the best man at his brother’s wedding. During the rehearsal dinner, Ed was introduced to Kathy. That night, Ed knew that Kathy was the girl he was going to marry. This year they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary!   

Ed worked in construction for a few years then started working for a tire company providing tires for trucks, where he is now part owner of the company and has over 800 employees in 46 stores. Kathy assisted with Ed’s business throughout the years but focused primarily on raising their two boys. After their boys received their college degrees, Kathy decided it was time to go back to school too. She received her IT degree in 2010. Way to go Kathy!

When they originally moved to Encanterra®, Ed was not too keen on coming to Arizona, but now he’d much rather be here than anywhere else. Ed loves spending time at the Solaz pool and spa. Kathy loves taking her walks in the community and also relaxing at the pool. We are thrilled to have you in the Encanterra® family, Ed and Kathy!
